Women's Jiu-Jitsu
While women are encouraged to attend any and all of our classes, we wanted to create something that is specifically catered to the amazing women at Cameron Davis Jiu-Jitsu. This course is designed, planned, and co-taught with our leading black belt alongside the female instructor by Cameron Davis Jiu-Jitsu’s female instructor, and focuses on self defense for smaller individuals facing larger attackers, reaching fitness goals, and training with like-minded women.

Fitness
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a full-body workout that improves endurance, builds strength, and enhances mobility. It provides cardio to keep your heart healthy. BJJ boosts your health in all areas of life. It reduces stress, improves mental health, and helps you sleep better. Our women’s BJJ class works every part of your body. It will push you out of your comfort zone. You’ll feel tired after class, but the sense of accomplishment is unmatched.
Community
We understand—learning self-defense can seem intimidating. That’s why Cameron Davis Jiu-Jitsu offers a welcoming and encouraging BJJ experience for women. Learning self-defense often feels nerve-racking and stressful, but we ensure comfort and safety. Our women’s BJJ class provides a supportive environment with other women in the community. CDJJ is committed to helping you achieve your goals. We aim to establish a new level of safety in your life.
No Gi
When practicing No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, you’ll shed your thick kimono and pants for stretchy athletic wear, such as shorts and a rash guard. Without the lapel and collar of a kimono to grab hold of, No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu is much faster and requires quick thinking. While it’s up for you to decide, many feel that No-Gi BJJ is better when it comes to preparing for real-life altercations.
Self-Defense
Made for the real world, BJJ is a form of self-defense that every person should master. Specifically, BJJ focuses on ground-level altercations, utilizing holds, throws, and various submission techniques. Consequently, our Women’s Jiu-Jitsu is ideal for learning to handle a larger opponent without causing harm. The goal isn’t to keep students comfortable but to mimic real-life altercations. While opinions vary, we believe the grappling of No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu is more realistic than any other martial arts form. Without the grip of a kimono, the extra decision time, or as many complex techniques, you gain an experience more similar to real-life altercations outside our gym.
